People who have been to New Zealand are amazed at what they were able to see and do while there and the wonderful people they met. Many want to go back again. New Zealand offers something for everyone; from quiet and relaxing to full-blown off the chart adrenalin rushes. If you want breath-taking scenery & vistas, we have that. If you want amazing sandy beaches, we have them too. If you want something to make your adrenalin go through the roof, yep we can even accommodate you. If you golf we have many incredible golf courses throughout the country, including some PGA grade courses. New Zealand has captured the imagination of many producers and directors with its diverse landscape. When people ask me about New Zealand this is what I tell them,
"As someone who was born and raised in New Zealand I am often asked to describe New Zealand to those who have never been there. Most people think of New Zealand as Middle Earth thanks to Peter Jackson and his directing of The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies. But New Zealand is so much more. It is very hard to describe what you will experience when you travel to New Zealand. Everyone comes away with a different experience and most either don't want to leave or can't wait to get back there.
The best way I can describe New Zealand to an American is this: "Take all 50 states and squish them into the state of Colorado, surround it by water, add 4 million people and about 60 million sheep. That's New Zealand." That description will give you a physical idea about what New Zealand has to offer, but New Zealand is something you have to experience to truly appreciate its splendor. It is a combination of the culture, people and scenery that will give you a true New Zealand experience. Kasey Kiwi's Annual Post-Cruise Adventure
Once we disembark the ship in Auckland you will have the option to extend your trip by four nights as we add on an exciting adventure to Queenstown, the Adventure Capital of the World. In Queenstown many adventures like hiking, parasailing, jetboating, skydiving, bungy jumping and many others await you. Omaka Classic Fighter Airshow
This airshow takes place every ODD year over Easter Weekend. In 2015 it will be April 3-5. Omaka Classic Airshow brings together Warbirds (Classic Fighters) from different countries. Most of the planes you will see flying are from WWII. No matter how many times I watch a classic fighter airshow I am still is awe of these amazing aircraft. I have been to many airshows over the years and seen many of these planes in static displays in museums and they still amaze me. I doubt I will ever tire of watching them fly. There is something about the sound of their engines, their gracefulness through the air or the majestic stance they have on the ground that holds my fascination with these incredible aircraft. I can tell you now I'm not one who knows the specifics of each aircraft, when they flew, who made them, when they came into service, etc. I just know how I feel when I look at them or watch them fly. I'm just transported into a world where all I see and hear is the aircraft. It is magical!!
